“Decluttering is tough already.

But Veronica and her team bring professionalism and energy, without passing Clutter-judgement, that I was surprised that I grew happier with each day they progressed. No room was too scary for them, and they brought logic and solutions to every item they came across. They figured out what was donatable, and what was trash, and thankfully didn’t need to tell me which was which, so I could think my treasure-load was going to be enjoyed by those less fortunate when in fact most of it rightfully ended up in the dump.

Who would have known that linen closets could benefit from organizational separators? (They knew.) Who could have thought to donate old bedding and towels to animal shelters? (They could.) For the items that were to remain in the house, they knew a massive amount of organizational containers that would make things tidy, accessible (for instance by using transparent containers), airtight, and moisture-resistant. And the containers arrived within a day by Amazon/Target, at Cost with no mark-up or delivery charge (and what didn’t they returned for full refund).

At the end of each session, for the 5% of the items whose destiny was unknown, they would walk me through them to quickly make a judgement call of what stays and what goes. And mid-project, they allowed me a few days to eyeball stacks they had made (books, photos, clothes) to divvy them up into piles Save v. Donate (i.e., trash), allowing me a final goodbye without forcing me to pull allnighters out of fear of slowing them down with my indecision.

They stuck to their estimate, except where I kept adding on tasks of them to do (like sorting hardware tools collected over 3 generations).
